What is SONGWORK.com?
We are a songwriting education site featuring unlimited access to video lectures by nationally-acclaimed teachers including Steve Seskin, Pat Pattison, Andrea Stolpe, and Bonnie Hayes. The principles covered here can be applied to all genres of songwriting. Learn about story development, song structure, melody writing, prosody, phrasing, point of view, and much more. Here at Songwork, we believe when it comes to writing songs, there are no rules - only tools.

Songwork videos are organized into four sections:

Getting Started:
Do you dread the blank page? This section of videos will get your creative juices flowing and offer you a world of new ideas to write about.

Doing the Work:
Tips, tools and strategies to help you work on your songs after the initial burst of inspiration runs out. The muse is waiting to see what you do with the gift you've been given.

After the Song Works:
So, you have a song. Now what? Videos on performance, vocal and guitar techniques, home and studio recording and publishing.

Song Sessions:
Song Sessions are "rewriting" classes featuring one or two instructors, a student and their "finished" song. These sessions illustrate how applying the principles taught at Songwork, can dramatically improve the impact of a song.

What does Songwork offer its members?
Unlimited access to all videos on the site.
New instructors and videos will be added on a regular basis so there will always be something new to enjoy.
When members have questions about something a teacher says, they can email us, and one of our knowledgeable staff members will respond with an answer.
