Prosody (Seskin)
In this lecture, Steve talks about "Prosody" which is really a word to describe a song whose elements all really work well together from start to finish. The lyrics and melody are married and the song makes you feel just what you should in just the right moments. For example, if you have a lyric that's melancholy matched with music that's happy, it's unlikely that the song's message will come through as strongly as it could. Achieving great prosody in a song really comes from being aware of the important relationship between the music and the lyrics.
